Northern lights

There are northern lights all year around, but observing them requires a bit of luck!

“Lyngen” means “quiet” in Norwegian and this defines the climate’s area rather well : it is one of the driest places in Norway. Thanks to the natural barrier that the Lyngen Alps offer : we offer have a clear sky here. As the north position, that’s the other reason that the Norwegian scientific observatory is on the other side of the Lyngenfjord !

No need to travel more kilometers to enjoy this fairytale show, we are at the heart of the scene. From late September to early April, when there is no midnight sun !
